Since 1985, when I was eleven years old, I would come to your first store in Glenview with my mother and my grandmother and I would look at the beautiful wedding dresses and dream that someday I would wear one of them. For my eighth grade graduation, my grandmother treated me to a dress made by you. I thought it was sooo beautiful. Then for my prom, you made me another gorgeous dress. Each time I came to see you, I looked and dreamed about the wedding dress and even chose a fabric and lace. Then last November, I got my wish. I became engaged, with your approval, and of course you were going to design my wedding gown. Not only were you making my gown, but my mothers, the eleven bridesmaids and the flower girls dresses. Mira, I can’t thank you enough as they were all absolutely beautiful. My gown was everything I dreamed of. The crystal beading, the veil, the detail down the back were all gorgeous. The bridesmaids looked so pretty and the dresses fit each one so perfectly. Not only are you a fabulous designer but a wonderful friend. You made everything so easy and so much fun. I will cherish these memories forever. Hopefully someday I will have a little girl and she will come with me to see you and dream of her wedding gown. 11. The story begins on October 4, 2000, when my daughter Lauren and I came into your design studio. We were on a search mission for the perfect wedding dress. At first Lauren looked around your shop not really hitting on anything in particular, until she sat down at the table with you and the two of you began sketching exactly what she had in mind. It was the beginning of a beautiful working, design and lasting friendship between the two of you. …Needless to say Mira was the fairy Godmother in Cinderella and made Lauren the most beautiful ball gown for her wedding. …The mini Miracle doll looks perfect in the dome that held my grandmothers bouquet in 1892. …Another very appreciated thanks to all of your wonderful seamstresses. You can have a great sketch and idea, but without the skill & talent of the seamstresses it cannot be done. They did a fabulous job! I’d like to do it all again…Wish it was just dress rehearsal!!!
